Design Support
Over the past years Vuyk Engineering Groningen liaised with a number of respected yacht builders and architects for the design and engineering of several superyachts. We also take an active role in the design phase of superyachts, supporting builders and designers in the initial developments of a project. This makes a valuable contribution to their sales support.
The synergy of serving both the commercial and the yachting world also shows itself in the design phase, as we think more commercial and economical than the typical ‘cross section’ of other yacht engineers. Eventually resulting in, for example, better logistics, more smart building sequences and the use of state of the art techniques.
We also have a head start in innovations in ship functions and applying the latest technologies. By involving us in the pre-sales stage, the design will be approached from a more practical point of view, thus tackling logistical, construction, mechanical and exploitation hick-ups in an early stage.
Adding a ‘Vuyk Design Development’ phase is an investment, which in the long run will have a guaranteed ‘more than return on investment’, because items that can cause a major delay will already be eliminated, before consuming ‘expensive hours’ during the detail engineering and building process.
We have almost all required engineering disciplines in house to guarantee a proper ‘Risk Analysis’ or ‘Feasibility Study’ of a design, thus being able to advise all parties involved to achieve better results. If required we can liaise with other specialists/partners in our network to provide our clients with a ‘one-stop’ design team.
