Damen PSV 4500

Vuyk Engineering Groningen has designed a new range of the PSV 4500 for Damen Shipyards Gorinchem.

The new range is based on proven designs of previously built vessels and the ongoing improvements of vessels under construction. The new PSV 4500 has a width of 19 meter and is based on a previous series with a width of 16 meter.

The Damen PSV Series is a versatile and modern range of vessels, set up and designed based on a modular approach for the hull and arrangements. Within this concept standardized components and systems of first class marine quality are used.

The vessel is designed to transport supplies and crew to and from offshore drilling rigs and offshore production platforms and to support in hydro carbon exploration and production activities. The vessel is suited for unrestricted service.

Vuyk Engineering Groningen has successfully executed the Design Check, Initial Engineering and also the Basic Engineering for the new series of these Platform Supply Vessels. 3D modeling of the construction and main mechanical parts is used in these first phases of engineering to prove feasibility of the design in an early stage
